March Restorative -- Same Time; Different Day!

With March fast approaching I just wanted to post a reminder that this month our Restorative class will be on Saturday March 1st. Hopefully March will be a month of changes -- melting snow, sunshine and maybe even a little green replacing a lot of the white stuff. Come join us on 4:30-6:30 on Saturday, March 1st at Body in Balance and optimistically celebrate the change in seasons!!!

A little bit about me and the yoga classes that I teach...

I have been practicing yoga on and off for most of my life because I was lucky enough to have a mom who did yoga. In my thirties I got more serious about yoga and I eventually decided that I would like to teach and went through a teacher training program with Scott Anderson and gained my Yoga Alliance certification.

The yoga classes that I teach focus on strengthening and stretching the body by using the breath and holding the poses for between 30 seconds and several minutes. Each pose, or asana, helps with alignment, flexibility and, maybe most importantly, helps us get in touch with our own unique quirky fabulous body. Remember that yoga is about becoming more comfortable in your body, being mindful and enjoying the process. Having a sense of humor is especially important.

You should wear comfy stretchy clothes to yoga, and dress in layers so that you can stay comfortable as your body heats up during class. Yoga is generally done with bare feet, but you may want socks handy for the final relaxation portion of class. Feel free to bring water and your own mat -- although mats and all other props are provided at the studio.

My Tuesday classes are 10$ per class if you drop in (passes are available - 80$ for 10 classes) and the Sunday restorative classes are $15.
